The past two weeks have been marked by storms, ceremony, and lots of art-making. I finished two cards and started two more for the new tarot deck I’m creating (keeping it under wraps for now).  And I finished the “Girl of Grace,” aka Young Brigid.

She dances on the edge of winter and spring, with snowflakes and blossoms swirling around her. The flame of the candle she carries is small, but will grow in time to kindle her inner creative fire, and perhaps light a torch to illuminate the path for others. She is a little girl, and yet her eyes hold a depth of wisdom beyond her years. Blessed be the child within each of us, blessed be our beloved Brigid.

Rose early to light a candle for my friend and web support goddess Shari, as she went in for surgery to have a pacemaker implanted in her heart. An offering of the scent of roses to Our Lady, prayers murmured over a rosary made of rosehips and rowan beads by @latisha_guthrie. May your heart flourish and heal, dear Shari! May all be well!

Just missed the ferry. Repeating the mantra: "There's always another boat."

Grateful for a houseguest who comes bearing sweet harp music. I suspect Brigid is pleased, too.
