I sent out an e-letter this morning after taking a I sent out an e-letter this morning after taking an unexpected sabbatical from writing for a few months. Thought I'd share it here (link in profile). A little catch-up from me, a little ruminating on the shift in seasons, the Blessing of the Harvest Elder I wrote a while ago (so good for Autumn Equinox ceremonies), a few tarot / journal prompts, and a playlist too. Took this photo (then altered it) on Lummi Island some years ago. Autumn Blessings! #autumnequinox #wheeloftheyear #harvestelder #walkingthesacredwheel #mabon

::
I planted autumn-colored mums for her today.
::
Two friends who both knew and loved her but don’t know each other reached out to me today. I love that. What is remembered, lives. Always. ::

UPDATE: Just found out my surgery is being postpo UPDATE: Just found out my surgery is being postponed because the surgeon is not available this week. Not angry, but frustrated and trying to adjust. Oh goodie, a lesson in flexibility! 🤣

Thank you for all the good wishes being sent my way … I’ll save them up for another time 💚💚💚 Dear Ones ... last April I asked for healing support as I prepared for surgery to repair a severe esophageal hernia. As it turned out, your prayers carried me through a postponement of that surgery and through heart valve replacement surgery. I've had a wonderful summer going to music festivals, walking in our beautiful town, and camping with beloveds. ::
::
Now I'm asking for healing support once more as my esophageal surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, August 16th, New Moon in Leo. Once again, I gratefully accept any prayers, healing energy, or good wishes that anyone wants to send my way. ::
::
I have confidence in my medical team and I’m grateful for local friends who will be looking after me as I recover and heal.
::
May the surgery go well, may the surgeon's hands be steady, may I throw no blood clots while I'm off my blood-thinning meds, may my heart be strong, may I heal easily and quickly, may my strength and stamina return swiftly. And so it is. ::
::
May your good wishes return to you a thousand times over. My deepest thanks and appreciation!

Good company (thank you especially to Ane’s Vancouver friends) … soul-stirring music that goes way beyond “folk”, the stunning setting of Jericho Park. Did I mention the herons, crows, and butterflies? @amythystkiah, @treburt, @williamprince, @ruthmoodymusic and @celeighcardinal were some of my favorite artists this year. I am full to the brim and overflowing… and one more day to come. Grateful to the local community who rallied together to keep the festival alive! We all need more joy in our lives. 💚 #vancouverfolkfestival
