My friend Lyn Belisle sent me this birthday collage. I love it!
Down came the Yule decorations last week, and in blew the New Year with a freezing chill. We greeted it with a walk in the freezing sunshine!. The ice in the slough, so beautiful.
There was this lovely little snowfall, gone by the end of the day.
In town, on a walk in the rain by the bay between appointments, I was surprised by blossoms on the fifth day of the new year. They are beautiful, but much too early. A sign of climate change that is troubling.
My birthday selfie. To paraphrase Gloria Steinem, this is what 64 looks like.A friend and her girls made this Guadalupe out of beach stones for me. I love it more than I can say!
A couple of days late Joanna, but wishing you a very happy birthday, hope it was a fantastic day. May 2016 be very good to you and yours, lots of creating & co-creating one’s Majickal realities.
Joanna, you are radiant! Your words, photographs, and artwork continue to feed my soul year after year. To quiet my world, I have unsubscribed from many wonderful newsletters, but not yours. It’s sweet, beautiful, and true … I’m sure a reflection of your spirit. Wishing you a year of deeply satisfying art making, such that your heart sings like never before! with appreciation …
Hi Joanna,
a very late Happy Birthday to you… and please relax regarding the blossoms at the bay. Nothing with climate change. They are the blossoms of Viburnum that has some sorts that bloom im midwinter. They smell deliciously and for me, they are a very early sign and promise that Spring will come again! All the best to you 🙂
